The actions were mixed even after some dollar positive news. As a result, the system had to endure a minor loss in this session. And basically, this summed up the month of April.

In my book, this April was a tough month for forex trading. I've noticed that most of the markets were moving based on their own strength and out of sync. There was little correlation between the majors pairs. Euro made new highs while Sterling weakened. Loonie went nowhere while Yen was choppy. Also, the intraday economic news seemed not so important while most of the markets were moving to the extended level and only did reversal in late and quiet sessions.

100-pip Target Hit - AUD/JPY

It's doable, in less than 20 hours - with this late session entry on AUD/JPY.

First, I made it into a zero-risk trade using the dynamic stops system, and then aimed for the 100-pip target.

One of those days again. I couldn't even time myself right with these kind of market actions in the early sessions. The system was not scoring well with the yen-crosses today but I managed to pick up a late consolation (I'm going to trail this position overnight to hit the maximum target) .

The major pairs are up +70 pips for the month with one day to go. I will put up a report for April soon. If anyone wish to sign up my day trading service before 30 April, you'll be able to enjoy the current monthly subscription of just $55 throughout your membership till you decided to end.

Dynamic Stops System To Improve Reward-to-Risk Ratio

I am already running a Dynamic-Stop System utilising the existing FK day trading system to get better entries and exits. Considering the amount of efforts being put in to monitor the running positions and provide dynamic stops throughout the day, I am setting a high target of 100 pips per signal. My objectives are to trail the stops to zero risk and aimed at producing maximum rewards. Mid-point exits are also provided to those who want to score immediate short-term profits.

You can follow these signals on the member site at anytime of the day. Simply compare the current price of the open positions with the provided dynamic stop loss levels. If you like what you see, join in and we will take ride on these signals together. As usual, you will also receive my fixed-session trading signals.

(New !) 100-pip target system with dynamic stops and mid-point exits

Dynamic SL levels: 35 pips, 43 pips, 18 pips (running) - instead of the usual 7o pips !

End-of-session results: EUR/JPY (-70 pips SL), AUD/JPY(-60 pips) and CHF/JPY (-5 pips)

Comment: As example, these forex killer signals were used as the first condition filter for the new dynamic-stop system ! Rather than entering immediately and being stopped out, I was able to pick up better entry levels. As a result, the dynamic-stop positons were still in play and with less risk exposure (see above) !

Based on the latest sentiments, we stayed away from the major pairs today ! The Euro took a big hit and down over 200 pips in today action alone.

I was trialing a new and additional trade entry system on the member site. Besides the in-house stop loss and take profit levels, I hope to improve on trade entry and provide dynamic SL and TP levels throughout the day. I had some fun using the system. Good testing day with instant positive results. For those who wanna aim for 10 - 20 pips, this may also be a good system. And we were riding on the positions before the trend finally exhausted. It was interesting to note that the new system didn't enter on the CHF/JPY market from start to finish.

Fine-Tuning Your Forex Killer Signal Entry and Exit

It is possible to perform a simple chart reading technique to fine tune the entry and exit levels of any forex killer signals on the longer time frames.

As one of the objectives, I wish to share whatever I can share with you and hope you can learn whatever I learn. I am currently contemplating on how to add a new section to implement the extra information from my chart analysis onto our day trading template/spreadsheet.

While we remained neutral bias on the US dollar, our system has pulled up some surprises this morning. The system scored some strong results on the yen-crosses currency pairs, i.e. +270 pips by the end of london session.

It was also interesting to note that the Euro hit a record high today, finally breaching the 1.6000 barrier for the first time. Here is the Euro chart this morning which gave me an idea to go long.

Trades Setup with 44 - 56 / 56 - 44 and First System Optimisation April

One of my system users notified me that most of my forex killer trade setups were generally good except those with the market sentiment percentage of 44 -56% or 56 -44%. On those days, the system was greatly underperforming. Hence, I went back to my trade history and checked on my past statistics. I totally agreed with him and thanks for the tip ! I found that the numbers are indeed astounding.

First, let me do a trade breakdown on days with either 44-56 or 56-44 on the major pairs:
Feb 15: 1 trade: -20 pips (-20 for the day) / Also coincided with yen-crosses sell-off
Feb 19: 4 trades: -15, +5 +60, -45 (+5) /Coincided with gbp/jpy stopped out
March: None
April 1: No trade
April 4: 4 trades: 45, +5, -45, +5 (+10) / Coincided with non-farm payroll day
April 15: 1 trade: -15 pips (-15) / Coincided with another gbp/jpy stopped out
April 16: 3 trades:-10, -50, -15 (-75) / Abnormal market movements
April 18: 3 trades: -70, -70, +40 (-100) / Coincided with another gbp/jpy wild day

Here are the facts:
(1) By the end of week 9, we have 7 days with 44-56% or 56-44%. 5 from this month alone, which has somehow affected this month performance.
(2) 10 out 16 trades are losers, only 2 out of 7 days are actually profitable
(3) Moreover, the biggest day win is only +10 pips, while the biggest day loss is -100 pips.

Looking at these facts, I am not that surprised now because these market sentiment values (of less than 60%) simply suggest that most of the markets are basically out of sync and not correlated well with each other. Obviously, this is not good for the system which exploits the underlying trend.

Based on the above statistics, I will perform my first optimisation of the system by setting non-tradable conditions on those days (with sentimet value between 44 -56) in future. I will observe the markets as usual and more trading statistics will be added here. In such days, markets are expected to be in crossroad and with increasing price volatility - see above - I used GBP/JPY market as an example. Now that I have checked, I could even score better results with the yen-crosses markets !

For the first time, this automated trade-entry system has provided negative return in mid-month. The system coped well with USD-base major currency pairs despite not making positive progress in the last few days. We started brightly for the month and at present the April's results are still in slight positive territory. It is an uncertain period when the US dollar continues to gain ground against the sterling pound while the Euro still hovers near a record high against the dollar. The markets seem to lack of price correlation at the moment.

US Session
No trade

A missed opportunity to capitalise on some really good news (i.e. PPI, Empire State Index and TIC) for the US dollar in the US pre-opening session. On hindsight, I should have kept my long USD/CHF position this morning by letting it to run a little bit longer (as the momentum starts to build up). The market sentiment indicator has hinted the right direction but the signal software couldn't pick up the right entry.

The dollar was being sold off continuously in the US session. Such a strong move against the dollar was unexpected and the increased price volatility was initially stirred by the G7 meeting over the weekend. Thankfully, the retail sales data came to rescue. Keep the discipline with the system this time round - minus 70 pips.

Yen-crosses markets were sold off again in wild London session. We had the same setups as yesterday but with different results. The losses in USD/JPY put us back with +100 pips for the month. The end-of-session results for yen-crosses pairs were uninspiring. My only advices when dealing with these markets are fast in fast out and never let a winner (early gains) becomes loser. Focus only the setup with the US dollar sentiment indicator if you are unsure with the yen-crosses pairs.

The action was very slow today, perhaps it's the Monday after the Friday's Non-Farm Payrolls ? This morning CAD position turned out to be a good winner in the later session after the release of the building permits report which was basically in tune with the trend sentiment indicator. Day Trading Service: 8-Week Performance Review

A brief recap: Here are the live day trading results since the launch back in February. So far, I have great feeling and confidence about this day trading approach with the forex killer software.

Week 1: +105 pips
Week 2: +25 pips
Week 3: +235 pips
Week 4: +210 pips
Week 5: +225 pips
Week 6: -10 pips
Week 7: -60 pips
Week 8: +210 pips

The system only endured its first losses in week 6 and 7. During that period, the forex market was greatly affected by the collapse of Bearn Stearns and massive carry-trade liquidation in mid March. We easily steered clear of further price volatility traps.

Week 4 and week 8 are non-farm payrolls (NFP) week. During these weeks, the system performed well (i.e. in exploiting the trends) by giving us good trading opportunities with gains over 200+ pips.

During these eight weeks, we scored a total of +940 pips from all live trade setups on member site. I appreciate your kind and positive comments which help to keep me motivated all this long.

A Hesitated Start & Indecisive Reactions from Non-Farm Payrolls Friday

European Session

No. of signal recommendations: 1
End-of-session results: USD/CAD (+5 pips)
Maximum potential: 20 pips
Own P/L: -11, +10

The US dollar was sold off in other currencies, somehow, our open CAD position remained resilient, i.e. was able to reverse its early losses and staged a minor recovery. I wish I could do better with my own p/l. My focus is now on the non-farm payrolls trading session.

US (Non-farm Payrolls) Session

No. of signal recommendations: 3
End-of-session results: GBP/USD (+45 pips) , EUR/USD (+5 pips) & USD/CHF (-45 pips)
Maximum potential: Over 140 pips ?!!
Own P/L: -30

Not sure how to write this entry. We went long on the US dollar. But then, the non-farm payrolls report was bad. The reward-risk ratio was therefore dramatically altered after the news releases and everything became awkward since the news was against the system sentiment.

Read my early post on how to cope with poorer-than-expected news data.

The positions went to drawdown initially, became good winners and finally ended with mixed results. To my amazement, there were still 140 pips up for grabbed ?!! But the system eventually settled for +5 pips. Hey, a fair result despite the poor job numbers !

On the other hand, I was way too conservative and ended with a bad result. But I was glad that the the all-important non-farm payroll was finally over and my system did OK.

The system gained +220 pips during this week !

We headed straight into profits within half an hour ! In the mid-session, we had two pieces of news which came out in tune with the system predictions and worked in our favour ! In a complete reversal of fortune from yesterday, the US dollar was pushed lower before the ADP non-farm employment report. I was not willing to let a winner turning into loser after holding the position for more than one hour.

Choppy price action is expected this week before the all-important Non-Farm Payrolls Report on Friday.

Member feedback for today's action:
