Hi Lloyd,
may I kindly ask you to ask Markus about an explanation of the all paramaters for the f.a.p.s. ?
I also asked the support for this but I didn't got a response.
Why I'm asking:
I installed the EA on two different brokers (northfinance and finex).
Bothe brokers have the same spread in the EURUSD and both use normalized prices.
For both brokers, I use the latest Metatrader plattform.
After installing, I backtested the EAs with an optimization of the balance.
For this optimization, I switched on ALL parameters except the aaa and bbb and I used a broad range for the optimization.
Interesting point #1: The two EAs got completly different parameters
Interesting point #2: After starting the EAs with the optimized parameters, the sometime acts completly different, sometime opposite to each other !
I.e. one time the EA on the finex opened short and 7 minutes later the EA on the northfinance opened long (both, of course, on EURUSD 1m).
So, I guess that the parameters not only set those easy things like amount in trade etc. but also something like a "time frame" etc.
It would be helpful if you could sent Markus an email baout this.
Thanks for that,
Kind regards,
Marcel

Marcel, it's great to know that you're ahead of everyone else. Any significant results with the optimisation so far? I agree that we need to understand the meaning of parameters before able to proceed further. I'll forward your message and hope we can get a reply.

Frank, it is very likely that those so-called "brokers" will use such a program which is designed to disadvantage us. Thanks for the thread and I will have a look again when free.

Hi Lloyd,
as you posted already, the EA makes a "fresh" start at the beginning of the month.
So, I backtested the EAs for the time from 01-March´to 31-March and what I got where two completly different sets of parameters:
Not only the "amount" parameters (Lots, LotsRiskReducer,MaxOrders and MaxLots) but also the "risk management parameters" (TakeProfit, Trallingstop and Slipage) and the "other" parameters (SafetyGapDemarker, SafetyGapWPR, SpanGator) were different between the two platforms (although they had the same spread). The Stop-Parameter were set to 0 by guidance of Markus.
When looking at the results since 1st April, the EA on the northfinance made $235.200 (starting capital $100.000) and the EA on the finex made $188.600.
As the EA on the finex has a "TakeProfit" parameter of 35, it generates much more trades (3x) than the EA on the northfinance (TakeProfit 150).
Also, none of the two EA generates a stop-signal. As I'm not watching the EAs in realtime, I could not say what the maximum risk was, but I've seen both EAs with more than -100 pips.
As the EA on the finex runs with a LotsRiskReducer of 3 (=1/3 of the capital in trade), this is a risk level no trader would normally use.
As posted before, I've seen the two EAs acting the opposite (one goes short, the other one long).
Overall, I do not see something like a risk management within the EAs and there must be something like a "time horizont" controlled by the parameters (otherwise, the two EAs had to act the same way).

Great insight again, Marcel. The results seem varied depending on which broker you use. I do agree with the 'time factor' which acts differently due to different feed providers.
